Main Contact:
Peabody & Arnold LLP has represented major international carriers, such as British Airways, Alitalia and Aer Lingus, in litigation matters in the New England region, including, but not limited to, claims governed by the Montreal Convention, Warsaw Convention, the Montreal Protocol, and the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act. In addition, our aviation attorneys have represented other major domestic airlines, aircraft owners, aircraft renters, flight instructors, flying schools, fixed-base operators and pilots. We serve as panel counsel to the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association for the defense of pilots in FAA enforcement actions. In addition, we have handled a variety of aviation coverage matters; including coverage issues in general aviation accidents such as litigation over excluded uses, breach of warranty clauses, renter-pilot exclusion, pilot qualification clauses and open pilot warranty clauses. We have also represented freight forwarders and customs agents. Kevin C. Cain, a licensed private pilot, chairs the practice group.
