Kristin focuses her practice on insurance coverage matters, specializing in claims under directors and officers, fiduciary liability, employment practices and professional liability policies. She has experience assessing the extent of coverage under professional liability policies for all forms of civil litigation against corporate directors and officers, including securities fraud litigation, investigations by governmental agencies, shareholder derivative lawsuits, ERISA lawsuits, and employment practices lawsuits. She also has experience assessing insurance coverage under transactional liability policies.
While serving as monitoring counsel, Kristin maintains contact with defense counsel and insureds regarding litigation status and strategy throughout the course of the underlying litigation and provides insurers with on-going analysis of potential liability, exposure and damages under the policy. She also reviews and audits defense fees and costs, negotiates allocation agreements for defense fees and settlement contributions and represents the carrier at mediation. Kristin has experience with the London insurance market having served as coverage and monitoring counsel for various Lloyd’s syndicates from 2006 until 2013.
Kristin was a partner at Peabody & Arnold until 2013 when she decided on an early retirement. She was unable to stay away and was lured out of retirement in 2016.

In her spare time, Kristin plays ice hockey, is an amateur jeweler and metal smith and sings in the MIT Women’s Chorale. She also served on the Board of Cambridge Youth Hockey from 2012 until 2017.
