Matthew J. Griffin

Matt represents life science and consumer product clients in complex product liability matters. He has been a member of numerous discovery and trial teams in state and federal courts across the country with a focus on the defense of mass tort, class action and multi-district proceedings. In addition, he has often led the coordination of related cross-border litigation. Matt is a go-to resource for the identification and preparation of expert witnesses across a variety of disciplines. He has spearheaded successful challenges to the admissibility of plaintiff expert testimony concerning causation and warning issues that have resulted in litigation-ending decisions on behalf of his clients.

Matt has related experience defending toxic tort actions as well as a wide variety of healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, mental healthcare providers, hospitals and long-term care providers.
