Avana A. Epperson-Temple Inducted as President of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association
Peabody & Arnold is proud to announce that attorney Avana A. Epperson-Temple was recently inducted as President of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association (MBLA) for the 2024-2025 term. Avana is a litigation attorney at Peabody & Arnold where she concentrates her practice in the areas of professional liability, insurance coverage litigation and business litigation. In addition to her practice and leadership role with the MBLA, Avana serves on the board of Pine Street Inn, New England’s leading provider of housing, shelter, street outreach and job training to homeless individuals, and she is a member of the Anti-Defamation League’s Associate Board and Regional Board for the New England Region, a civil rights organization focused on combatting antisemitism, racism and all other forms of hate. She was recognized by Get Konnected! as one of Boston’s Most Influential Millennials of Color in 2018 and she was named an Up & Coming Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly in 2020. In 2021, she was recognized as one of Emory University’s Top 40 Under 40 Alumni and she received the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award for her demonstrated outstanding character, leadership, legal achievement, and contribution to the community.
