Jennifer Burke and Scarlett Rajbanshi Prevail
In a medical malpractice trial that lasted for ten days in Suffolk Superior Court, partner Jennifer Burke and associate Scarlett Rajbanshi prevailed on behalf of a long term acute care hospital. The plaintiffs, as executors of an estate, had alleged that the long term acute care hospital was negligent for failing to properly treat a patient and that the alleged negligence of the hospital’s employees caused the death of the patient. Judge Robert Ullmann presided over the jury trial. Following the defense verdict in favor of the hospital, the plaintiffs filed a motion for new trial which was denied by Judge Ullmann.
