Peabody & Arnold is pleased to announce that attorney Jim Duane has joined the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation. The MBF represents the commitment of the lawyers and judges of Massachusetts to improve the administration of justice, to promote an understanding of the law, and to ensure equal access to the legal system for all residents of the Commonwealth, particularly those most vulnerable. Jim has been an MBF Fellow since 2002. A graduate of Harvard Law School, Jim is an experienced mediator and arbitrator. He has also served on numerous boards including Lehigh University, where he is currently a Trustee Emeritus. Now a full-time mediator and arbitrator, Jim brings with him over 40 years of experience as a civil litigator handling complex cases involving insurance and bad faith, professional liability, medical malpractice, and more. He is a panelist on the American Arbitration Association National Roster of Commercial Arbitrators and also mediates for Mediation Workshops, Inc. and Cape Cod Dispute Resolution Center.
