Attorneys Michael Stone and Barton Centauro prevailed in a jury trial in Barnstable Superior Court earlier this week.  They represented an attorney who was accused of improperly disbursing funds he held in his escrow account and converting some of those funds for his own use.  In responding to special questions, the jury concluded that their client had acted properly as an escrow agent and had followed the instructions he received about holding and disbursing the money in his escrow account and that any damages the plaintiff may have suffered were not the result of their client’s conduct.
