Susan E. Cohen Speaks at Effective Mediation Advocacy Seminar
Peabody & Arnold LLP and the Women’s Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution and Women in the Courtroom Committees recently co-hosted an Effective Mediation Advocacy Seminar at Peabody & Arnold’s offices in Boston. Peabody & Arnold partner Susan E. Cohen spoke on the panel along with top mediators Maria Walsh, Brad Honoroff and Audrey Lee. The panel presented a lively, interactive discussion focusing on what techniques work and do not work at mediation, and the difference between mediation and courtroom techniques. The seminar covered a variety of topics, including: why and when to mediate; how to prepare for mediation; issues particular to women advocates; how to behave at mediation; common mediation mistakes; and mediation process mechanics. The event also included a networking session between panel speakers and attendees co-sponsored by Peabody & Arnold and the Women’s Bar Association committees.
